The Mouse's Tale
"Fury said to
a mouse, That
he met in the
house , 'Let
us both go
to law: I
will prose-
cute you. -
Come, I'll
take no de-
nial: We
must have
the trial;
For really
this morn-
ing I've
nothing
to do.'
Said the
mouse to
the cur,
'Such a
trial, dear
sir, With
no jury
or judge,
would
be wast-
ing our
breath.'
'I'll be
judge,
I'll be
jury,'
said
cun-
ning
old
Fury;
'I'll
try
the
whole
cause,
and
con-
demn
you to
death'."
The reason I am commenting on my own post is because I ran out of room on the post to, well, post my thoughts and other things on it. If you have read this poem before you know that it is from the book Alice In Wonderland, by Lewis Carrol. As for my thoughts on the poem, I am not quite sure. I think it is VERY interesting, if not a little dark. If you are not blind, you can tell that the poem looks a lot like a mouse's tail, which is one of my favorite things about this poem. I hope you enjoy the poem, and if you want, comment on this post telling your thoughts of the poem.
