The Boy Who Tried
He fought and worked with all his might
Yet he took a blow to the eye
Are you happy now?
She took his hand and pulled him out of the lies
Yet he was there to watch her die
Are you happy now?
He watched her blood and tears fall
Yet he was there through it all
Are you happy now?
They faced their fears and together they fought
Yet she made her last chose to make her breathing stop
Are you happy now?
He held her hand as she whispered her loving words
And he cried and screamed out to the world
"Are you happy now?"
I'm not sure if you have all realized this or not, but all of my characters have had a large amount of pain in their life, and a lot of them don't end up with a "happy ever after".
You should know, however, that this poem is talking about two different girls. the first section of the poem talks about his father, the second refers to a girl (which I am not telling you who), and the rest of the poem refers to another girl (who I will also not be telling about).

To explain the "Are you happy now" parts, it has a lot to do with his father. He, Hunter, was always trying to please his father, but his father never was. They got into many fights, which one of them ended up in blinding Hunter in his right eye, and him soon running away from home. That, clearly, left a scar on him mentally, and it went from him trying to please his father, to him trying to please the world. He honestly believes that the cause of all of his pain is for the world's fun.
I don't think I ever explained how he looks, so I shall do so now. He has rather light brown hair, but just dark enough so that it is not blond. He also has dark, dark blue eyes, with a rather narrow face.
On another note, I apologize for not posting for quite awhile. I hope to post more often from now on.
